Never thought I will abandon my family for my dream life. I recently quit my job and left my apartment as I plan to travel and experience the world. Not so bad, eh? Well, I’m in a relationship and have got a rather close-knit family both of whom aren’t yet aware of my plans because they’d freak out.
I’ve tried telling them but they’ve shown no support whatsoever in the past and so, I do not plan on telling them anytime soon. I’m from Europe and have found myself a job in Australia. I’ll be working there for a few months on the fields, and just travelling, exploring the country and all that. After Australia, I plan on going to Asia and Tokyo is what fascinates me the most.
I really don’t know when I’ll be back or if I’ll be back at all. For now, I’ve just told my girlfriend that I’ll be using my work holidays and go around travelling the world a bit and will be back in a few weeks time. However, I think I’ll be gone for a couple of years or more.
So here I am, confessing that I’m abandoning my family, friends and girlfriend to live a life I’ve forever dreamt of.
